Distressed card with a note

Good morning, I had a fantastic time with my shifu yesterday.   She is the queen of altered items, and we had fun altering a box.   I will post that sometime this week, there are still some final touches to be completed.

I have a distressed card to show everyone today which I hope to be able to get it posted before I go for my painting class.   I am still struggling to make distress stuff, but I guess I have to get out of my comfort zone once in a while.   Shifu gave me lots of useful suggestions yesterday before we started on the altered box and I finally got the easel card together.   The card will be for the following challenges :-

1.    Sir Stampalot Challenge - All distressed
2.    Sweet Stamping Challenge 43 - just a note
3.    7 Kids college fund challenge 3 - A recipe

Here is my card :-

Material used :-

1.     Mummu Mo Manning, coloured with copic markers

2.     Cardstock : DCWV, gemstones canvas texture pearlescent finish

3.     Pattern paper : DCWV, the Music stack 

4.     Sentiment stamp : Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz collection 

5.     Charm with green stone (from Jer's jewellery making collection, thanks jer) - this is for the "one sparkling item in the 7 kids recipe.

6.     Pearls : Kaiser
