If God is for us, who can be against us?

The theme of my current painting class with Astrid is : the wonders of a tree.   Astrid always wants us to paint from photo, and with our own interpretation and inspiration.   I love how this majestic tree provide shade to the other side of the road.  I have completed a pastel version and will be starting on oil next week.   I am one person who loves colors, so I added vibrant hues to the sky as well as wild flowers on the grass.   Here is a smaller version I did with pastel and sprayed with prefix colorless fixative to seal in the pastel colors, and use it to make into a card for the : Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge #94 - make a card that you doodle on.

The tree which I based my painting on :-)

Materials used :
1.  ODBD stamp : If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 inked with versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder
2.   Card stock : DCWV
3.   MS punches

This is a very simple card, no fuss, no frills, thanks for dropping by :-)

Missing you

So, I am home-bound, I can't go for my yoga session and it is getting into me.  My fav instructor is back in India for his home leave, and he asked me to practice on my own, and he left me strict instructions to practice those poses that I need to work on (like stretching my hamstring) but I have not been doing much on my own.  I did go for some class during the past 2 weeks, with other instructors but did not work out much on my own.  I guess I have to start working out on my own for the next one week or I would lose my balancing strength and flexibility and the already tight hamstring would even be tighter, haiz.

I am into my 2nd card today, for the Mojo Monday 195

Materials used :
1.  ODBD stamp : missing you
2.  Pattern paper : K&Co, card stock : DCWV, core impressions : basic grey ornate collection
3.  MS punch

5.  Satin flower : HK
6.  Butterfly embellishment : KCK

Thank you for being my friend

We were supposed to leave for Shanghai this morning, Ma, Ti, Ailin, Sharon, Vincent, Jer and I.   Unfortunately Ti was unwell and we have to cancel the trip, and ma is not comfortable traveling when Ti is unwell.  So Vincent left for this morning as he has a seminar to attend.

I made another card this morning after Vincent flew off and I am home-bound as I did a facial treatment and can't go out for the next couple of days (for fear of the sun).  I hope to have more creations now that I am home-bound.

This card is for the following challenges :-

Happy Mail

I am supposed to make this gift box and send to a friend in the States weeks ago, but I was too caught up with stuff and I kept delaying it.  Another reason for the delay was I was waiting for the great Singapore sale to start as I wanted to buy some KCK die cuts for her (KCK die cuts are designed in Singapore, as I wanted to send her something uniquely Singaporean.   I am so sorry for the delay my dear friend,  and I hope you would love what I made and bought for you.  But so much for the great Singapore sale, the KCK range of products are only on 10% discount, but the USA products are 40% off!!

So, here is my gift box which I used a new stamp I just bought from Belles 'n Whistles, SweetArts Girls happy mail.   I have also used a new KCK paper, plus I am trying out a new blending technic, using ox gall liquid from Winsor & Newton to blend instead of the usual sansador.   As this is the first time I am using it, I forgot to use water color paper, plus I am new to the technic, so there is still much room for improvements, I hope to achieve a more "water color" effect next time.  And this is also the first time I used quilled butterflies as embellishments.   I also bought a book on quilling and hope to make my own quilled embellishments in time to come.

This project is for the following challenges :-

1.  Belles 'n Whistles - please include ribbon or lace or both (I have both)
2.  Stamping sisters in Christ challenge 92 Challenge: Use something new on your project - it can be a new product, technique, embellishment - even a colour combo that is new

The inside of the box
I used ox gall liquid (Winsor & Newton) to blend instead of the usual sansador

Materials used :
1.  Belles 'n Whistles SweetArt Girl happy mail stamp colored with caran d'ache color pencils and blend with ox gall liquid.
2.  Pattern paper : KCK Singapore
3.  MS punch
4.  Rhinestones lace and ribbon. organza flowers  : HK
5.  Lace : Webster's page
6.  Quilled butterflies : HK
