Be Still and know that I am GOD

It has been a while since I last make a card.   My package of Christmas stamps and Cheery Lynn dies and I decided to make this card for the Our Daily Bread Designs stamping in time challenge -SNTODBD 47 - my favorite scripture.   Be Still and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10 has always been my favorite scripture verse.  More often than not, I am too caught up with my own troubles and problems that I forgot to cast all my worries to God, this verse, will always remind me of the need to be still, to drop all worries and frustrations and know that He is God.

Materials used :
1.  ODBD stamp : Be still and know that I am God
2.  Pattern paper : Sei sunny day, Cosmo cricket garden variety, cardstock : American crafts
3.  MS punch
4.  Cheery Lynn doily dies - french pastry
5.  Ribbon - American crafts

Our treasure and joy

Ever since I saw these 2 photos of Jer, I know I have to do a layout page.   All my layout pages are done with help and assistance during classes.   This is the first time I did a layout on my own.   And since I so love the webster's pages paper and vellum, I simple have to use them for the layout. Here is the layout I made for the following challenges :-

1.  Webster Pages March challenge : create a shaped layout
2.  Our Daily Bread designs blog week 1 (ODBDLYLS3) -**fuchsia flowers or the color fuchsia for the anniversary flower OR
**crystal or glass for the anniversary modern gift (this can be faux crystal gems, a glass embellishment, etc.), AND**ODBD stamps!
I stamped the image on a piece of vellum cut-out with cloudy white versamark ink, and used white embossing powder to create this.
I used a brad to fasten the them together and viola it opens to this verse

I stamped image on a cardstock, cut it out and cut a piece of Webster's page netting and stuck it onto the image and secured it with pearl strings.

I love the sparklers but I didn't have a red colour, so I used copic marker to colour a clear piece (I learned this from Webster's page DT Gerry van Gent)

Materials used :
1.  Webster's pages : Lullaby Lane diecut
2.  Webster's pages bloomers
3.  Webster's pages petite 6 x 6
4.  Webster's pages sparklers
5.  Webster's pages fabric ribbons and nettings
6.  MS punch
7.  Spellbinders nestabilities
8.  Stamps : ODBD, Unity and Clear stamps
9.  Prima crystals

All we need is love

Love is patient,
Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud. It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking, nor easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I have been impatient with Liz this morning and I am going to post this card I made, to her, as a way of apology, I am sorry darling I love her and I should be more patient.  I miss both you and Min, more so, during the festive period.

When I saw the figure 8 bow from Amazing paper grace, which Becca has a you-tube video on how to make this.  It is relatively easy and since I do not have a ribbon with the stitch round the edge, so I sewed it with running stitches.   Using the same method, I sewed running stitches on a much thinner velvet ribbon and make the base for the flowers to hold up the card.

Figure 8 bow and the base made with thinner velvet ribbon for flowers

I added a bookmark (I left a slot at the back of this easel card)

Materials used :-

1.  LOVE stamp : ODBD
2.  Pattern paper : Little yellow bicycle - lollipop stripe with glitter, cardstock : AC - primaries
3.  Spellbinder nestabilities, Magnolia Doohickeys, Sizzix movers and shakers die - love
