The Digi Bells DT call

I was pondering if I should make a card for Elisabeth Bell : The Digi Bells Guest DT call (November/December) which ends today!   And since I was on a high after attending David Foster and friends concert 2 nights ago featuring the ever classy Natalie Cole, Charice, Peter Cetera, Ruben Studdard and the Canadian Tenors, plus remembering what my ever encouraging (but brutally honest) mentor Angie shifu told me : you have nothing to lose, except your pride, I made this card which is based on the following sketch, to participate in the above guest DT call.

1.   Image : I love you this much from Elisabeth Bell Digi collection which can be ordered @ Elisabeth Bell digishop, coloured with copic markers

2.  Cardstock : American crafts - pastels

3.  Pattern paper : my mind's eye, and K & Company

4.  EK Success corner punch

5.  Lace : Wild orchid crafts

6.  Ribbon and organza flowers : bought from HK

Thanks for dropping by and good luck to all who participated :-)

Vintage layout

I did this vintage layout with Eunice @ scrapholics  yesterday!   I really like the how the layout turn out as I am not very much a brown person and am pleasantly surprised to use shades of blue, purple to create vintage charm!   Learned some really interesting technics and ideas from her,  thanks Eunice :-).

Vincent left for Germany for his almost 3 weeks trip this morning, and I am home alone with Jer away in school most of the time studying for her A levels.   Well, I will have more time for my yoga, exercise, calligraphy, painting and crafting!  I need to tidy up my craft area too :-)

Thanks for dropping by :-)

2.  Cardstock : a zone paper from popular

Bearly big hug criss cross card and a blog candy

I was kinda lost when I went for my step exercise, since this is my first session, I had a hard time trying to keep in pace and in steps!  I  met another lady and she told me she was equally lost even though this is her 3rd session!   It was a fun session even though I getting lost 3 quarter of the time, unfortunately I could not continue as my next art class starts next tuesday.

Today I want to show a criss cross card I made for Liz's 22nd birthday which is on Oct 20.    Time flies and she is now in her 3rd year at St Andrews, it seems like yesterday that we first sent her over and now she is into her 3rd year.  For the last two years I have arranged for a birthday cake to be sent to her on her birthday, but this year, she is watching her weight, so I am not sending her a cake, but hope my made with much love card can reach her in time.   She is always extending her arms for big hugs since she was a child so when I saw this "beary big hug" clear stamp from Belles and Whistle I simply have to get it, but it has been out of stock when I first eyed it.    I was finally able to get it a couple of weeks ago.

My criss cross card for my darling's birthday, and I am also entering for the Belles and Whistles challenge, "fall colours", and the Belles and Whistles design team has put together a completely new blog, starting for this challenge, here is the link

B'nW Challenge blog

There is also a fantastic candy up for grabs :-

A waterfall card

Hi everyone, I am back after missing in action for the last two weeks.   I have taken up yoga and body combat to keep fit as I am approaching the big 5 O in 2 years!    I can feel my bones creaked when I first started on yoga, but after two weeks, I can feel my joints becoming more flexible and I can bend and stretch a little easier.   After a major operation (late last year) and another health scare recently, I told myself I am going to watch my health and get into my exercise regime once again.

On a separate note, I met Angie (my mentor) for lunch today and we had such a wonderful sharing and eating!  So much so I was late picking Jer and sending her to school, sorry darling.

And is the waterfall card I made for the following challenges :-

1.   Sweet stamping challenge #46 - punch it out

2.   ODBD challenge - movement theme

Material used :

1.   Pattern paper : Sassafras mix and mend, wee bundle
2.   Cardstock : AC cardstock
3.   Rubber stamps : Our daily bread design - customer favorites scripture series 1
4.   Martha stewart punches which I used for the border as well as to make the flowers
5.   Prima pearls

There are plenty of tutorial on youtube for waterfall cards and it is quite easy to make.

Thanks for dropping by.
